Tony Canal, a veteran actor and renowned Castilian Spanish voice performer, has passed away at the age of 90.
Canal enjoyed a remarkable career spanning more than six decades, working across television, film, theater, and voice acting. He became especially beloved for his work in dubbing, where his voice brought life to many iconic characters for Spanish-speaking audiences.
He is best known for voicing Winnie the Pooh in Castilian Spanish for nearly 20 years, a role that made him a familiar and comforting presence to generations of viewers. He reprised the role in Disney’s Christopher Robin in 2018.
Throughout his career, Canal also voiced several notable characters, including Kaa in The Jungle Book 2, roles in Kingdom Hearts II and Kinect: Disneyland Adventures, Goat Man in House of Mouse, and characters in productions such as Family Guy, South Park, and Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers.
